This topic will be used to post changes in ble-beacons protocol implementation.

ble-beacons protocol is used to split other protocol messages that contain ble.beacons array parameter to separate messages for each beacon reorganizing the parameters in a way that allows treating each beacon as a separate device.

BLE-beacons protocol is updated: protocol has been moved to the new telematics gateway engine.
This is an internal process, no changes in the work of the channels are expected.

BLE-beacons protocol is updated: it is now possible to subscribe to messages from Devices of the specified channels.

Upcoming changes in BLE-beacons protocol will take effect in 1 week - on Aug 16th, 2023:

BLE Beacon Fix device type will be deleted
BLE Positioned device type will be deleted

Instead, you can use ble-indoor-position plugin, in the settings of which you can specify BLE tags with static coordinates. The coordinates of the nearest beacon will be added to device messages if you assign this plugin.
