Clear all retained message

I was wondering how I could clear all retained messages from the broker. I have tried changing the retain flag to false while publishing a new message which did not help. I am sure I am missing something. Please let me know how this can be done.

To clear retained message/s you should publish empty message with retain:true flag to this topic

Also you can delete retained messages using rest api request: https://flespi.io/docs/#/mqtt/!/messages/delete_messages_messages_selector

Also we have flespi specific feature that helps to clear many retained messages under wildcard topic like
my/topic/namespace/#
If you publish empty message to this topic with reatin:true - all retained messages in topics like

my/topic/namespace
my/topic/namespace/sub
my/topic/namespace/sub/sub
my/topic/namespace/sub/sub/sub
... etc.

will be cleared
