How to send commands to GPS device?

I have a TCP server setup which is receiving data from GPS Trackers. Each GPS devices initiates the request, server accepts it. Works well. Now, I want to use TCP to send commands to devices over GPRS for all kinds of configuration. what is the solution and how to do it in using JAVA?

I also have the protocol manual where I can see available commands and their responses.

owaresabd It all depends on your TCP server implementaion.
In the most basic implementation you have socket, which you can read from and write to. So when device connects to your IP:port (TCP server, socket) you can read data from socket - it is the data sent by device. If you want to send data to device then you need to write to data to that socket.
On the higher level of abstractions there are input and output buffers: so if you need to get data sent by device then you read from input buffer, and if you want to send data to your device - you write data to output buffer and flush it once the write is ready.
Maybe your TCP server has some higher level of abstraction. You can investigate Traccar project - it is written on JAVA.
And if you don't want to build all this logic by yourself - you can use flespi. Connect device to flespi and you will be able to receive already parsed data from the device and send configuration commands to your device via REST API calls. And on the higher level of abstraction - which are device settings - you manipulate directly with remote settings management in UI mode as device is on your table connected to your laptop via USB cable.
